Why did I choose this carrer?

In this opportunity I will tell you  the profession I liked when I was a child and the reasons why I chose to study social work.

When I was little I was interested in gastronomy, because my father cooked delicious food and let me help him, cooking together was a lot of fun.

Time went by, I changed my mind and when I was fifteen yers old I liked dentistry, because I went to the dentist fot orthodontic treatment and I found the work entertainig. Hower, one day I met my friend´s cousin and she told me about her work and I got to know Social Work, at the moment I discovered that it was a profession that would allow me to help people, particularly with the issue of inequality. This is how I applied to the Social Work program at the University of Chile. 

My experience with the carrer has been quite good, I think I made the best choice, because I am passionate about contributing to social change. However, university life in pandemic has been a bit difficult.
